Elderly woman struck, killed on Mansfield Highway near Collett Little Rd

FOREST HILL, TX – A 71-year-old woman died last Monday when a vehicle struck her along the highway in northeast Forest Hill, reports WFAA News 8.

The accident happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. on the eastbound side of Mansfield Highway near the intersection with Collett Little Road, which is west of I-820 and north of I-20.

Police say Sharon Kelly Clark may have been trying to cross the road when an eastbound vehicle hit her. Authorities pronounced Clark deceased at the scene of the accident.

The driver did stop to render aid and speak with police. At this time, there’s no intent to file charges against the driver.

Drivers likely experienced delays along Mansfield Highway last Monday evening while officials worked to gather evidence and clear the scene.
