Angel Meraz, 19, critically hurt in 3-car crash in N Odessa
ODESSA, TX – One person died, and three others sustained injuries last Thursday in a multi-vehicle crash on the north side of Odessa, reports yahoo! news.
The accident happened shortly after 8:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 42nd Street, which is just south of Sherwood Park and near the intersection with North Everglade Avenue.
Odessa Police say that a teen driver lost control of his eastbound Ford Mustang and entered the westbound side of East 42nd Street. A westbound Toyota Tundra struck the Mustang, which then collided with a westbound Chevy Silverado.
A 19-year-old passenger from the Mustang, identified as Angel Meraz, went to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.
Medics also transported the three drivers to an area hospital. They are expected to survive.
Authorities say the driver of the Mustang claimed to have lost traction on his rear tires.
A full investigation is underway.
