Car vs. motorcycle crash on I-10 claims Alejandro Rodriguez

EL PASO, TX – A 48-year-old man sustained fatal injuries over the Labor Day weekend in a motorcycle accident along the interstate in southeast El Paso, reports KFOX 14.

The two-vehicle collision occurred just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday on I-10 between Don Haskins Drive and TX-375, which is near Honeywell and Rush Truck Centers.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a 2024 Ford Mustang collided with the rear of a 2024 Kawasaki Ninja. The impact of the crash ejected the biker, who died at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Alejandro Rodriguez.

The driver of the Ford did not sustain injuries in the accident and did stop to render aid and to speak with police.

No charges have been announced thus far.

The collision likely caused substantial delays along I-10 while emergency crews gathered evidence and worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
