Two-vehicle semi crash near Amherst claims Lori Moyer

LAMB CO., TX – A 53-year-old New Mexico woman sustained fatal injuries last Wednesday in a crash involving a semi-truck in south-central Lamb County, reports Everything Lubbock.

Shortly before 2 p.m., emergency crews responded to a fatality accident on US-84 between Amherst and Littlefield, which is approximately 43 miles northwest of Lubbock.

Police say that an 18-wheeler and a Chevy Silverado collided along the highway. Additional details regarding the cause or circumstances of the wreck have not yet been released.

The driver of the pickup truck, identified as Lori Moyer, died after transport to an area hospital.

Medics transported two passengers from the pickup truck to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

The truck driver did not sustain injuries in the collision.

A full investigation is underway.
