1 killed, 1 injured in 2-car crash on FM 600 near Nugent
JONES CO., TX – A Humble woman died, and two people were hurt Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision in east-central Jones County, reports Big Country Homepage.
Shortly before 6:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to FM 600 just south of County Road 303 in the Nugent area, about 18 miles northeast of Abilene.
Police say that a northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee made an illegal pass and collided with a southbound Jeep Wrangler.
Medics transported the drivers and a passenger from the Grand Cherokee to an area hospital with serious injuries.
Another passenger from the Grand Cherokee died at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Marsai Jaealla Denise Malbro.
A full investigation is underway.
