T-bone crash at US-54, Sean Haggerty claims Angelique De Leon

EL PASO, TX – An 18-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries on New Year’s Day in a two-vehicle collision in northeast El Paso, reports KFOX 14.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Sean Hagerty Drive and Gateway North Boulevard in the Cooperstown area.

Police say that the driver of a 2023 Chevy Silverado pickup failed to heed a red light at the intersection and T-boned a Chevy Camaro.

A passenger in the Camaro, identified as Angelique Diaz De Leon, died in the collision.

One other person involved in the crash sustained non-life-threatening injuries. It’s unclear if they required hospitalization.

No charges have been announced so far, but the incident remains under investigation.
