Rene Galindo, 2 others killed in Midland solo crash on TX-250

MIDLAND, TX – Three people died last Friday in a single-vehicle collision that happened along the freeway in Midland, reports First Alert 7.

Around 1 a.m., emergency crews responded to the intersection of Loop 250 and East County Road 60 on the northeast side of the city.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a 20-year-old driver lost control of his Ford Mustang and crashed into a concrete barrier on Loop 250, causing the vehicle to ignite.

The impact of the crash ejected a passenger from the vehicle, killing her at the scene. Authorities identified the passenger as Natalia Torres.

A second passenger, identified as Luisa Valencia Garcia, also succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The driver of the Mustang, identified as Rene Galindo, died after transport to an area hospital.

A full investigation is underway.
