Car vs. semi crash at TX-36 and FM 603 kills Kaley Demasters

CALLAHAN CO., TX – An Abilene woman died, and a juvenile sustained injuries Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in west-central Callahan County.

According to yahoo! news, the accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of TX-36 and FM 603. This is south of Eula and around 15 miles southeast of Abilene.

Police say that the 36-year-old driver of a passenger vehicle failed to heed a stop sign and entered the path of an 18-wheeler.

The driver of car, identified as Kaley Demasters, succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the collision.

An 11-year-old passenger in the car died during transport to an area hospital.

The truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries; it’s unclear if he required hospitalization.

A full investigation is underway.
