Semi collision on US-62 in Terry Co. claims Rolan Tomlison

TERRY CO., TX – A 45-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck in Terry County, reports Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

Around 6:45 a.m., emergency crews responded to a fatal accident on US-62 near County Road 515 just northeast of Brownsfield and around 35 miles southeast of Lubbock.

Police say that a northbound pickup truck crashed into a stalled semi on the northbound side of the highway. The big rig had broken down while the truck driver was turning north from a crossover.

The driver of the pickup truck, later identified as Rolan Tomlison, died at the scene.

The driver of the semi did not sustain injuries in the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
