Arrest made after North Central Expy. crash that killed 1, injured several others

DALLAS, TX – Dallas Police arrested a suspect for their involvement in a crash that killed one person and injured several others on Sunday, Fox4News reports.

The collision happened before 4 a.m. on North Central Expressway, along North Henderson Avenue. Police said a driver of a silver pickup truck was going north when they drifted across two lanes of traffic before crashing into a concrete barrier and support pillar.

The silver pickup truck came back onto the express lanes and crashed into a red pickup truck.

The driver of the red pickup truck crashed into a concrete barrier before stopping in some lanes, and the silver pickup truck crashed into the concrete barrier once more.

EMS crews transported the four passengers inside the silver truck and the passenger inside the red truck to a hospital. The passenger of the red truck was taken to the emergency room out of precaution, police added.

First responders confirmed one of the passengers of the silver truck, a woman, who was hospitalized, had later died from her injuries. The police have not released her name.

Police arrested the driver of the silver pickup truck and said they were transported to the emergency room as well. Police said their charges will be determined once they are booked into the Dallas County Jail.

A full investigation is underway.
