Driver hospitalized after underride truck accident in Dallas
DALLAS, TX – A motorist is in critical condition in a local hospital after a double-underride truck accident that happened in the Joppa area this morning.
WFAA reports that the collision occurred shortly before 6:20 a.m. at the intersection of Linfield Road and S. Central Expressway. Investigators believe a sedan passed under the first semi, which sheared the roof off the sedan, before coming to rest underneath a second semi.
Emergency responders extricated the driver from the vehicle and took that individual to an area hospital. The driver’s condition is said to be critical but stable.
