Minor injuries reported when semi jackknifes on I-35E at Riverfront
DALLAS, TX – A truck driver avoided serious injuries Thursday when his semi jackknifed on the interstate and caught fire, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened around 2:07 p.m. on the northbound side of I-35E near South Riverfront Boulevard, which is just northeast of the Trinity River Bridge.
The investigation indicates that the 18-wheeler struck the median after jackknifing and that the force of the collision caused a leak in the fuel tank and, ultimately, a fire.
It’s still unclear if the truck driver required medical attention. Police say his injuries were not serious.
A full investigation is underway.
