Woman struck, killed by train on W 7th in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, TX – A woman died at a Fort Worth hospital Sunday night from injuries she sustained when a train struck her near Trinity Park, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. in the area of 2500 West 7th Street, which is just west of the Fort Worth Police & Firefighters Memorial.

Police say the 27-year-old woman tried to walk between two train cars when she was hit and critically injured. Emergency response crews extricated the woman and took her to the hospital, where she died.

The authorities have not yet released the name of the victim, but they say she is from Richland Hills.

A full investigation is underway.
