Vehicle vs. SUV crash kills 1, injures 1 on Toll 49 in Tyler

TYLER, TX – A 65-year-old man from Whitehouse died on Friday evening in a two-vehicle collision along the toll road in Tyler, reports CBS 19.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Toll 49 just south of both TX-31 and the city of Tyler.

The investigation thus far indicates that the driver of an eastbound car lost control and hit a guardrail before colliding with a westbound SUV.

The driver of the first vehicle, identified as Donald Dolan died at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the SUV, identified as 36-year-old Concepcion Moreira, did not require hospitalization.

A full investigation of the incident is underway.
