Solo crash near Brewer High School kills 1 in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, TX – One person died on Wednesday evening in a single-vehicle accident that happened along the freeway near South Lake Worth, reports Fort Worth Police.

The incident happened around 6:02 p.m. on the southbound service road for West Loop 820 near Brewer High School and the Texas Civil War Museum.

Police have not shared many details about the accident, but they say that a vehicle ignited after striking a light pole. Officials say the crash happened near a gas line and asked all drivers to avoid the area during clean up.

One person died in the accident. It’s unclear at this time if the car was carrying any passengers.
