Vehicle strikes, kills pedestrian on Easton near Garland in NE Dallas

DALLAS, TX – A man died Thursday afternoon when a vehicle struck him as he crossed a busy roadway on foot in northeast Dallas, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident occurred around 4:20 p.m. on Easton Road between Lake Gardens Drive and Garland Road. This is just northeast of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden.

Authorities have not yet identified the victim publicly, nor have they determined if the pedestrian was utilizing a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident.

The driver involved in the crash stopped at the scene to render aid and speak with police.
