Police investigate Tyler crash involving overturned fuel tanker on Loop 323
TYLER, TX – Crews responded to a major accident involving a fuel tanker truck along Loop 323 in north Tyler on Halloween morning.
According to KLTV 7, the incident happened just after 3 a.m. in the area of 400 East Northeast Loop 323, which is west of State Park Highway and south of Lenox Lake.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a fuel tanker truck overturned and fell into the median on the westbound side of Loop 323.
It’s unclear if the driver of the tanker truck sustained injuries.
Authorities say that another tanker truck arrived at the scene to haul away the fuel while officials investigated and worked to clear the remaining wreckage. Officials closed all of the eastbound lanes and one westbound lane during the clean-up process.
