Motorcyclist struck, killed on US-287 SB near Vickery

FORT WORTH, TX – Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened on Tuesday night on the interstate just east of Glenwood Triangle, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident occurred sometime before 11:26 p.m. on the southbound side of US-287 near East Vickery Boulevard, which is near Sycamore Park.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle struck a motorcyclist after the biker had crashed and fallen in the roadway.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity, nor have they specified whether the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Officials encouraged motorists to expect delays along US-287 in the area of the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
