Pedestrian struck, killed in hit-and-run at E MLK Jr Blvd and Haynie Ave

TYLER, TX – A man died just over two weeks ago after a vehicle struck him at a busy intersection in northeast Tyler, reports KLTV 7.

The incident happened just before 10 a.m. on Monday, November 13th, at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Haynie Avenue, which is west of East Gentry Parkway and north of Oak Grove Park.

Medics transported the man to the hospital where he died from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities have not yet released his identity.

Police are looking for a maroon or burgundy GMC Yukon or Chevy Tahoe. They say the vehicle likely has damage to its front end.
