Man struck, killed by vehicle at Cross Timbers and River Walk in Flower Mound

FLOWER MOUND, TX – A 56-year-old male pedestrian died last Tuesday after a vehicle struck him at busy intersection in Flower Mound, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened in the evening at the intersection of FM 1171, or Cross Timbers Road, and River Walk Drive, which is just east of Flower Mound Town Center.

The circumstances of the accident are still under review. Police say that medics transported the victim to a Denton hospital but that he died shortly thereafter from injuries sustained in the crash.

It’s unclear if the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene to render aid.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.

A full investigation is underway.
