Child killed in solo crash on County Road 220 near Tyler
SMITH CO., TX – A young boy died on Wednesday after crashing an SUV along a rural highway in central Smith County, just east of Tyler.
According to My Texas Daily, the incident happened around 3:24 a.m. on County Road 220, also know as the Old Henderson Highway.
Police say that an unrestrained 11-year-old boy lost control and crashed a 2020 Hyundai Tucson into a tree.
Authorities pronounced the child deceased at the scene of the accident.
