18-wheeler on fire along I-35E NB in central Denton Co. delays traffic

CORINTH, TX – Emergency crews responded to an incident involving a semi-truck on fire Sunday night along the interstate in central Denton County, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened sometime before 10 p.m. on the northbound side of I-35E near Swisher Road in the area of Corinth and Lake Dallas.

At this time, it’s unclear if an accident or something else caused the 18-wheeler to ignite. There’s also no word yet regarding injuries.

Officials warned drivers to expect significant delays along the northbound side of the interstate while crews investigated and worked to extinguish the fire.

The investigation is ongoing.
