Fatality reported in crash at TX-183 WB at Esters Rd in Irving

IRVING, TX – Emergency crews worked at the scene of a fatality collision along the highway in northwest Irving late Monday night, reports the Irving Police Department.

The incident happened around 10:35 p.m. on the westbound side of TX-183 at Esters Road, which is southeast of DFW International Airport and southwest of Dallas College North Lake Campus.

Police haven’t yet shared any details regarding the circumstances of the accident except to say that at least one person died. Authorities have not released the name of the deceased.

Officials closed the westbound side of TX-183 in the vicinity of the crash while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene. Westbound traffic was diverted to Esters Road.
