2-vehicle crash at I-20 and Tin Top Rd kills motorcyclist and passenger

WEATHERFORD, TX – A 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman died Thursday in a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle at a busy Weatherford intersection.

According to DFW Scanner, the collision occurred not long after 8 p.m. at the intersection of the eastbound I-20 service road and Tin Top Road, which is southwest of Walmart Supercenter on the south side of town.

Police say they attempted to stop the motorcyclist for reckless driving when he fled along I-20 eastbound. The motorcycle operator failed to stop at a stop sign and hit another vehicle in the intersection.

The force of the collision threw both the motorcyclist and his female passenger from their bike, and they died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released their identities to the public.

No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
