Update: Firefighters recovering after rollover crash in SE Fort Worth

Fort Worth, TX – NBC 5 reports that the four firefighters who were injured in a rollover fire truck crash last week are all on the mend, although one remains hospitalized as of February 10.

The four men were rushing to a fire in the 4500 block of Pecos at Village Creek at 2:30 a.m. last Tuesday when their truck overturned near Village Creek Road and Wilbarger Street.

Medics treated Firefighter Devin Kuhn and Engineer Matthew Schneider and released them at the scene.

The other two men were transported to John Peter Smith Hospital for more intensive care.

Firefighter Clint Robinson underwent surgery and was released on Thursday. Physicians expect him to need three to six months of rehab care.

Captain Daniel Terrell’s injuries were considered life-threatening but he was transferred out of the ICU on Thursday. While his condition remains unclear, a representative of the Fort Worth Professional Firefighters Association said Terrell was able to communicate and move on his own. Still, he faces a long road to recovery.
