Vehicle strikes, injures young girl in Park Glen area of north Fort Worth
FORT WORTH, TX – A young girl sustained serious injuries on Monday afternoon when a vehicle struck her at an intersection in north Fort Worth, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Park Vista Boulevard and Glen Canyon Road, which is just east of Park Glen Elementary School.
Witnesses at the scene of the accident report that the driver may have been speeding when they struck the child. Police have not indicated if the girl was walking in a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Medics transported the young victim to a local hospital with critical injuries.
It’s unclear if the driver involved in the crash stopped to render aid and communicate with authorities.
