Solo crash near TX-288 and Courthouse Dr kills motorcyclist

DENTON, TX – A motorcyclist died Sunday from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle collision along the highway in eastern Denton, reports Cross Timbers Gazette.

The incident happened at 2:12 a.m. on TX-288 near Courthouse Drive, which is just north of the Denton Crossing shopping center.

Police say the victim’s motorcycle caught fire after crashing along the roadway. A witness contacted police to alert them to the accident and to inform them that the biker was unresponsive.

Authorities declared the motorcyclist deceased at the scene of the crash.
