Vehicle strikes, kills pedestrian on Crockett Rd in Palestine
PALESTINE, TX – A 51-year-old man died on Friday after a vehicle struck him along a busy roadway in the city of Palestine, reports Tyler Morning Telegraph.
The incident happened around 12:20 a.m. on Crockett Road near the intersection with East Colorado Street, which is just south of Reagan Park.
Police say that an alleged intoxicated driver struck a Palestine man before crashing into a telephone pole.
The pedestrian, identified as Marcos Sanchez, died at the scene of the accident.
Authorities arrested the driver, whom they identified as 39-year-old Dillon Wayne Fogle.
The investigation is ongoing.
