Police call fatal crash on I-20 WB at Cedar Ridge a hit-and-run

DALLAS, TX – Police are now calling the crash that fatally injured a motorcyclist on the interstate in southwest Dallas Monday a hit-and-run incident, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

Around 2:3o a.m. Monday along the westbound side of I-20 at North Cedar Ridge Drive, a vehicle struck a motorcyclist and fled the scene.

A preliminary investigation indicates that this initial collision ejected the victim from his bike, at which point he was then hit by an 18-wheeler and possibly other vehicles.

The motorcyclist, whom police have not yet named to the public, died at the scene of the accident.

Authorities are looking for an unknown vehicle with damage to the front end and windshield.
