Vehicle strikes, kills teen on US-175 service road in SE Dallas

DALLAS, TX – A 16-year-old boy died Monday evening after a vehicle struck him along a highway service road in southeast Dallas, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened at 7:35 p.m. on the westbound service road for US-175 at South Beltline Road, which is just west of Seagoville High School.

Police say an SUV struck the teen when the driver veered onto the shoulder to avoid hitting the vehicles in front of him. The young man died after transport to a local hospital.
