Major accident on US-75 at Ridgeview in Allen blocks traffic

ALLEN, TX – Officials closed one side of the highway in Allen Sunday evening after a major accident on the north side of town, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident occurred sometime before 6:34 p.m. on the northbound side of US-75 at Ridgeview Drive. This is just east of Ridgeview Crematory.

Police have not yet commented on the circumstances of the accident. It’s not yet clear how many vehicles were involved or if anyone involved in the crash sustained injuries.

Authorities closed all northbound lanes while emergency teams responded to the scene and worked to clear the wreckage. Police encourage drivers to seek alternate routes and to avoid the area.
