Man killed after falling from crashed car on I-20 in Arlington

ARLINGTON, TX – A man died early Wednesday in Arlington after several vehicles struck him along the interstate, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident occurred at 12:39 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-20 near I-820 in southwest Arlington. This is just about four miles east of Tarrant County College – South Campus.

Police suspect that a vehicle struck both a construction barricade and a concrete barrier along the interstate. Sometime during the crash, a passenger fell out of the vehicle and was struck and killed by multiple cars in the roadway.

Authorities have not yet identified the deceased.

Medics transported the driver of the vehicle that crashed to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

Officials closed the interstate in the area of the accident for nearly ten hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
