Truck accident on TX-183 near Carl Rd causes fuel spill, closures

IRVING, TX – Emergency teams responded to a major rush hour crash involving a fuel spill along the TEXpress Friday morning, reports WFAA News 8.

The accident happened around 9 a.m. on the westbound side of the highway between Carl and North O’Connor Roads. This is east of the Hospital District and Baylor, Scott & White Medical Center.

Authorities haven’t yet released any details regarding the cause of the accident or the number of vehicles involved, nor do we know if anyone sustained injuries.

Officials closed the westbound side of the Toll Road and warned of extended delays while crews worked to clear the wreckage and the diesel spill.
