Brisa De la Cruz, 24, killed in all-terrain vehicle crash in Red Sands

EL PASO CO., TX – An ATV crash claimed the life of a 24-year-old woman and injured another woman in central El Paso County on Black Friday, reports KFOX 14.

The accident happened in the afternoon at Red Sands, which is a popular spot for off-roading just east of El Paso.

Police haven’t yet shared the cause of the wreck or the number of ATVs involved. Video footage taken at the scene indicates that the crash caused one vehicle to roll onto its side.

Medics transported two women to an area hospital. One of the women returned home after receiving treatment for minor injuries.

The other woman, identified as Brisa De la Cruz, died two days later in the hospital.

A full investigation is underway.
