Branda Gentle, 74, claimed in Gainesville pedestrian crash
GAINESVILLE, TX – An elderly woman sustained fatal injuries Monday when a vehicle struck her along the highway on the eastern outskirts of Gainesville.
The accident happened shortly after 7 p.m. on the eastern side of US-82 near County Road 123. This is just past Buckhorn RV Park.
Police say that an eastbound pickup truck hit the pedestrian, whom they’ve identified as Brenda Gentle. It’s unclear if Gentle was attempting to cross the roadway when the crash occurred.
The driver involved in the collision did not sustain injuries, and authorities have not referred to this as a hit-and-run.
