Mindy Sue Moreno, 35, killed in Gaines Co. crash

GAINES CO., TX – A 35-year-old woman died last Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi in north-central Gaines County, reports KCBD 11.

The accident happened shortly before 9 a.m. at the intersection of US-385 northbound and County Road 124. This is south of Seagraves and about 12 miles north of Seminole.

Police say that a northbound SUV collided with an 18-wheeler when the driver of the latter vehicle proceeded into the intersection without yielding the right of way.

The driver of the SUV, identified as 35-year-old Mindy Sue Moreno, sustained fatal injuries.

No other injuries have been reported in connection to the wreck.

Motorists likely encountered delays along the highway between Seagraves and Seminole while crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
