Isiah Turner, 29, struck, killed along E Ben White Blvd
AUSTIN, TX – A 29-year-old man sustained fatal injuries last Tuesday morning when a vehicle struck him along the highway in southeast Austin, reports KXAN.
The accident happened just before 9 a.m. on the eastbound service road for Ben White Boulevard near the intersection with Woodward Street. This is east of I-35 and southwest of Mabel Davis District Park.
Police haven’t yet specified how the crash occurred, but they say the pedestrian died after transport to an area hospital.
Authorities identified the victim as Isiah Turner.
The driver involved in the wreck did stop to render aid and to speak with police.
A full investigation is underway.
