Gregory Casares Herrera Jr., 34, killed in Bexar Co. collision

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 34-year-old man died Sunday in a two-vehicle crash along the highway on the far-south side of San Antonio, reports KSAT 12.

The incident happened shortly after 9 p.m. on East Charles William Anderson Loop near the Campo Azteca Soccer Fields. This is between Spanish Grant Road and Red Forest Lane.

Police say that a westbound motorcycle collided with another vehicle when the motorcycle operator attempted to pass a semi-truck.

The motorcyclist, identified as Gregory Casares Herrera Jr., succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the wreck.

Medics transported the driver and passenger from the second vehicle to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
