Christopher Hornsby, 39, killed in crash with street sweeper

FORT WORTH, TX – A 39-year-old man sustained fatal injuries last Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash involving a street sweeper in south Fort Worth, reports WFAA News 8.

The accident happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. on the northbound side of I-20 at Wichita Street. This is just southeast of Herman Clark Stadium and Tarrant County College – South Campus.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a passenger vehicle collided with a commercial street sweeper that was stopped along the interstate.

The driver of the passenger vehicle died from his injuries. Authorities identified him as Christopher Hornsby.

Motorists likely experienced delays along the interstate while emergency teams worked to clear the scene.
