Multi-vehicle crash on TX-105 near Navasota kills Rene Martin
GRIMES CO., TX – A four-vehicle collision in southwest Grimes County killed one person and injured four others Sunday evening, reports KBTX 3.
The accident, which involved two SUVs, a sedan, and a motorcycle, occurred west of TX-249 on TX-105. This is just east of Navasota and about an hour northwest of Houston.
Police say that a westbound sedan entered the eastbound side of TX-105 and collided head-on with an eastbound SUV. Both an eastbound motorcyclist and a second SUV then struck the first SUV.
The motorcyclist, identified as 35-year-old Rene Martin, died at the scene of the crash.
Medics airlifted two people to an area hospital with unknown injuries. Another two people went to the hospital via ground ambulance.
It’s unclear if anyone will face charges.
A full investigation is underway.
