Rosalio Aguilera, 3 more killed in Bexar Co. bus crash on I-35

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Four people died, and more than twelve others were hurt last week in San Antonio in a crash involving a bus, a sports car, and a semi-truck.

According to KSAT News 12, the collision occurred Thursday around 2:30 p.m. on the southbound side of I-35 near Cassin Road, which is south of Lackland Air Force Base on the southwest side of the city.

Police say that the unidentified driver of a stolen Camaro rear-ended a tour bus carrying at least 16 people. The impact of the crash pushed the bus in front of an 18-wheeler. This second collision caused the bus to flip, ejecting multiple passengers.

Medics transported at least 15 people from the bus to area hospitals with injuries of varying severity.

Authorities identified two of the deceased patients as 50-year-old Jose Guerra and 69-year-old Rosalio Aguilera. Two additional victims have not yet been identified.

The occupants of the Camaro, one of whom was armed with an automatic weapon, fled the scene on foot. San Antonio Police have not yet identified the suspects.

The investigation is ongoing.
