Motorcycle and car collide on Zaragoza, killing Anthony Harris

El PASO, TX – A 34-year-old motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries Monday afternoon in a head-on crash along a major roadway in southeast El Paso, reports KVIA 7.

The accident occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. on North Zaragoza Road near Physicians Drive in the Stone Ridge area between I-10 and TX-375.

Police say the victim was speeding and weaving through southbound traffic when he lost control of his bike, veered into the northbound lanes, and collided head on with a northbound vehicle.

The motorcyclist, identified as Anthony Jerome Harris, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the accident.

Officials closed North Zaragoza in the area of the crash while emergency crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
