Michael and John Daly claimed in DFW plane vs. semi crash

FORT WORTH, TX – Two men sustained fatal injuries Sunday in a fiery collision involving a plane and multiple 18-wheelers in northwest Fort Worth.

According to The Cross Timbers Gazette, the accident occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Business 287, or North Saginaw Boulevard, between Avondale-Haslet Road and Big Ranch Road. This is just south of Avondale and north of Hicks Airfield.

It’s not yet clear what caused a Beechcraft King Air C90 carrying a man and his father to crash. The investigation indicates that the single-engine plane caught fire after impacting with at least ten semi-trucks.

Both occupants of the plane, later identified as Michael and John Daly of Bartonville, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

None of the truck drivers required hospitalization.

Officials closed North Saginaw in the area of the crash while crews worked to put out the fires, gather evidence, and clear the scene.

A full investigation involving the Federal Aviation Administration is underway.
