Ramirez Martinez IDed as victim in crash at CR 153, FM 1760

BAILEY CO., TX – A two-vehicle collision at an intersection in northeast Bailey County claimed the life of a 31-year-old woman on Wednesday, reports everythingLubbock.

Sometime in the morning, emergency crews responded to a major accident at the intersection of County Road 153 and FM 1760, which is just northwest of Muleshoe and approximately 69 miles northwest of Lubbock.

Police say that a southbound vehicle collided with a westbound vehicle when one of the drivers failed to heed the stop sign at the intersection. It’s not yet clear which driver had the right of way at the time of the crash.

The driver of the southbound vehicle succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Authorities identified her as Ramirez Martinez of Muleshoe.

It’s unclear if the other driver sustained injuries in the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
