Semi-truck falls on car in Seguin, killing Anthony Stephenson

SEGUIN, TX – One person died, and two others were injured Wednesday when an 18-wheeler fell from an overpass in central Guadalupe County, reports MY SA.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a crash involving a semi-truck and two cars on the northeast side of Seguin. The accident happened at I-10 and TX-123.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a westbound truck fell off of I-10, landing on the northbound side of TX-123. The semi hit both a gray and a red sedan.

The driver of the red car, identified as 63-year-old Anthony Stephenson, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

Medics transported the other two drivers to area hospitals with injuries of unknown severity.

Officials closed lanes at the intersection of I-10 and TX-123 while teams assisted the victims and worked to clear the scene.

No charges have been filed so far.

The investigation is ongoing.
