Jesselyne Williams killed in hit-and-run near Lancaster, Weiler

FORT WORTH, TX – An elderly woman sustained fatal injuries earlier this month in a hit-and-run crash along a major roadway in east Fort Worth, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

The auto-pedestrian accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, November 7th, near the intersection of East Lancaster Avenue and Weiler Boulevard, which is just northeast of Saint Rita Catholic School.

Police say that a vehicle struck 75-year-old Jesselyne Williams, who had been reported missing by a family member. The driver involved in the crash fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

Williams died at the scene of the accident.

Officials are actively searching for the driver and say that a witness has provided information about a potential suspect and vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
