Andre Kocher, Scott Mages killed in Pilot Point pedestrian crash

PILOT POINT, TX – Two bicyclists sustained fatal injuries Saturday when a vehicle struck them in northeast Denton County, reports NBC 5.

The accident happened shortly before 8:30 a.m., just east of Tischler Road on Farm Road 455 in east Pilot Point, which is about 20 miles northeast of Denton and an hour north of Dallas.

Police haven’t yet shared any details regarding the circumstances of the crash except to say that the cyclists died after transport to area hospitals. Authorities identified them as Andre Kocher and Scott Mages. Both men were members of the Frisco Triathlete Club.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident has not been named. It is unclear if they will face charges in connection to the collision.

A full investigation is underway.
