Raul Palomin IDed as victim in Hidalgo Co. pedestrian crash
HIDALGO, TX – The Texas DPS is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened last Saturday evening in southeast Hidalgo County.
According to myRGV, emergency teams responded to a major accident shortly before 6:30 p.m. on FM 1015 between East Mile 13 1/2 North and San Rafael Road. This is around 10 miles north of Weslaco.
Police say that for a northbound Chevy pickup truck fatally struck a man who ran into traffic on FM 1015.
The pedestrian, identified as 49-year-old Raul Palomin of Edcouch, died at the scene.
The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
A full investigation is underway.
