Wrong-way crash on FM 195 near Paris claims Melisa Brewster

LAMAR CO., TX – A 58-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision in northeast Lamar County, reports MyParisTexas.Com.

Shortly after 5:15 p.m., emergency crews responded to a wrong-way crash just northeast of Paris on FM 195 near County Road 43330. This is around 93 miles northeast of Plano.

Authorities say that for unknown reasons, a westbound Buick Encore entered the eastbound side of FM 195 and collided head-on with an eastbound Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The wrong-way driver, identified as Melisa Brewster, succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.

No other injuries have been reported.

A full investigation is underway.
