Ron, Barbara Timmermans IDed as victims in Murchison plane crash
HENDERSON CO., TX – A man and a woman died Wednesday evening in a single-engine plane crash in Henderson County, reports CBS 19.
Just prior to 5:15 p.m., emergency teams were alerted to a plane crash near Echo Lake in the Murchison area, which is around 30 miles southwest of Tyler.
Authorities say that a Beech A36 was headed northwest from Nacogdoches when the pilot’s view was obstructed by oil on the windshield. The plane crashed after hitting multiple power lines.
The two occupants of the plane, identified as Ron and Barbara Timmermans of Florida, died at the scene.
The couple’s dog survived the crash.
A full investigation with the NTSB is underway.
